 | Sergei ANDRIYAKA 1958 — Сергій АНДРІЯКА • Сергей Николаевич АНДРИЯКАSergei Andriyaka was born in Moscow in 1958. He studied at specialized art school in 1969-1976. Andriyaka graduated from the V. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute where he studied in 1976-1982. Additionally he studied in the studios of Tkachev brothers during 1982-1985. Since 1983 became a member of USSR Artists Union. Since 1986 taught art and composition at the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute. Andriyaka is know for his watercolors. He started discovering and popularizing old techniques of Russian watercolors since the mid 1980s. The artist paints landscapes, cityscapes depicting historical places and churches of Russia, interiors, still lifes and lately portraits. He opened his own art studio specializing in watercolor. The artist lives and works in Moscow. |
