Rudolf Rudolfovich Frenz was born in Marienburg, St. Petersburg province in 1888. Studied at Imperial Academy of Arts, Petrograd Free Art-Education Studios in 1909-1919. Member of Comradeship of Artists; Commune of Artists in 1922-1925; AkhRR from 1924; Four Arts. Worked in agit-poster studio in Leningrad. Also a theatre, monumentalist and graphic artist. Decorated festivals in Petrograd in 1920s. Worked on a number of dioramas. Died in 1956.
