Konstantin Matveevich Lomykin was born in Glukhovo, Sumy region, Ukraine in 1924. Studied at Odessa Art College in 1946-1951 in the studios of L.Muchnik, N.Pavliuk and N.Shelyuto. Active in Odessa. Began exhibiting in 1951. K.Lomykin painted landscapes, portrait, thematic and still life paintings, nudes. Many of his works depict ballet dancers. Well known Odessa realist. Died in 1994.
