Gavriil Pavlovich Kondratenko was born in Pavlovskoe, Penza province in 1854. Studied at Imperial Academy of Arts as a non-enrolled student in 1873-1875 and 1875-1882. Active in Ukraine, Caucasus and Crimea; Petrograd. Began exhibiting in 1882. Member of Kuindzhi Society since 1910. Exhibited with St. Petersburg Society of Artists. Specialized in landscapes. Died in 1924.
