| Serge IVANOFF 1893 — 1983Сергiй ІВАНОВ • Сергей Петрович ИВАНОВSerge Ivanoff was born in Moscow. In 1918-19122 he studied at St. Petersburg Art Academy under Kozlinsky and Braz. In 1922 the artist moved to Finland and in 1923 – to Paris, where he worked as an illustrator and costume designer. In Paris he created many portraits, genre paintings, nudes and erotic paintings. Among his masterpieces are the portraits of well-known Russian artists, such as Benois (in State Russian Museum), Goncharova and Lifar. Ivanoff had his personal exhibitions in Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos-Aires and San Francisco. His works are represented in National Library in Paris, State Russian Museum and Hermitage. |
