Опанас Георгійович СЛАСТІОН • Опанас СЛАСТИОН

Born in Berdansk in 1855. Painter, graphic artist, and art historian. Studied at St. Petersburg Art Academy in the studios of I. Kramskoi and P. Chystakov (1874-1882). Lived and worked in Kyiv, Volyn and Chernigiv region. Painted landscapes, village scenes. Is considered to be a designer of modern type of bandura. Died in Myrgorod in 1933.
