Vasyl Vasylovych Burch was born in the village of Smolohovytsia, Trans-Carpathian region of Ukraine in 1919. He graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical Institute in 1952. Burch is known as easel painter and art teacher. The artist died in Uzhhorod in 1993.
