Dmitri Mikhailovich Krasnopevtsev was born in Moscow in 1925. Studied at Art College in 1942-1943 and 1946-1947; Surikov Institute in 1949-1955. Active in Moscow. Began exhibiting in 1956. Also graphic artist. Nonconformist artist of 1960s – 1980s. Died in 1995.
