Studied at art studio of Pecherskaya Lavra, Kiev in 1906-1910; at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1910-1914. Active in Moscow. Began exhibiting in 1910. Member of Makovets from 1921 (founding member). Exhibited with World of Art in 1917. Also known as monumentalist, graphic and theatre artist. Decorated festivals in Kiev in 1918-1920.
