| Viktor MUSI 1963 — Віктор МУСІ • Виктор МУСИViktor Musi is a contemporary French artist. He was born in Kremenchug, Ukraine in 1963. Musi graduated from the Kharkiv State Art College in 1982. In 1984-1985 he studied in a studio of Gennadiy Manasherov at St. Petersburg Art Academy. During 1980s Musi exhibited with non-conformist artists in a series of ‘apartment exhibitions.’ The artist had his first solo exhibition in 1991 in Gallery De Ville in Bad Münstereifel, Germany. In 1992 he participated in an exhibition entitled ‘Contemporary Ukrainian Art’ at Yale University, USA. Viktor Musi moved to France in 1998. In 2000 Musi’s painting ‘Le dernier soir’ at the exhibition entitled ‘Figuration critique’ received a medal Médaille d’argent en titre des Arts", which was awarded by a French organization Merite et Devouement Française. The artist had a retrospective exhibition entitled «VINGT-5» dedicated to his 25 creative years in 2011 at the CHÂTEAU-PALAIS DE VIANDEN, GRAND-DUCHE DE LUXEMBOURG. The artist lives and works in Paris. |
