Karp Demyanovych Trokhymenko was born in Sushchany, Kyiv province in 1885. He studied at Kyiv Art College in 1902-1910; at I. Mashkov’s studio-school in Moscow in 1906; at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1906-1907; at St. Petersburg Art Academy in 1910-1916. Active in Kyiv. Taught at Kyiv Art School in 1926-1933 and at Kyiv Art Institute in 1930s – 1950s. Died in 1979.
