Leonid Lamm was born in Moscow in 1878. In 1910s moved to Germany. Enrolled to the Munich Academy of Fine Arts in 1921. In 1926 Lamm participated at the Glaspalast Exhibition in Munich, where three of his works were exhibited alongside such prominent Russian artists as Natalia Goncharova, Konstantin Korovin and Philip Maliavin. Lamm died in 1926.
