Studied at Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1912-1917. Active in Moscow until 1922. Moved to Berlin where he lived and worked during 1922-1928, then to Paris where he lived from 1928. Member of Makovets. Exhibited with MTKh in 1918, 1922, 1924; World of Art in 1921 and 1922. Important exhibitions include ‘First Russian Art Exhibition’, Berlin, 1922. Taught at Moscow Proletkult in 1919; Moscow VKhuTeMas 1920-1923. Worked in Moscow InKhuK in 1920. Also a graphic artist. Died in 1948 in Paris. |
