Tania ANTOSHINA 1959 — Таня АНТОШИНА • Татьяна АНТОШИНАTania Antoshina was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia in 1959. She studied at the Stroganovskoe High Industrial Institute, Department of Art History in 1987-1991. Since the late 1990s, Tania has been photographing men, often her husband and their friends, in nude poses derived from canonical examples of modern art by figures such as Ingres, Gaugin, Manet and Picasso. In Antoshina’s works, there is a sense of both high comedy and total disassociation. Antoshina was the resident artist at Yaddo, New York in 2001. She lives and works in Moscow. |
