Vladislav (Vlad) Mamyshev-Monroe was born in Leningrad in 1969. Graduated from the specialized literature high school #27 in Leningrad in 1986. Since 1986 resides in Moscow. Member of the New Artists group. Established independent TV Station “Pirate TV” in 1989. Between 1991 and 2002 was not allowed to travel outside of Russia by FBS (equivalent of KGB). The artist died in Bali in 2013.
