Alexei TYRANOV 1808 — 1859Олексій ТИРАНОВ • Алексей ТЫРАНОВAlexei Vasilievich Tyranov was born in Bezhetsk, Russia in 1808. He studied in the studio of A.Venetsianov and at the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1824-1836. In 1936 he joined the studio of Karl Bryullov. As a recipient of the Arts Academy stipend, he lived in Rome in 1839-1843. Tyranov is known for his interiors, portraits, landscapes and genre paintings. He also created a number of lithographs. The artist died in Kashin, Tver Province of Russia in 1859. |
