Painter and graphic artist. Studied in the studio of F. Rerberg in 1910-1913 and I. Mashkov in Moscow in 1913-1914. Exhibited since 1914 with “World of Art” and “Bubnovyj Valet”. Taught at art school in Orel and in Tver. Arrives to constructivist forms in 1910’s. Starting from 1930’s started painting portraits, landscapes and sometimes still life paintings. In the 1930’s for “formalism” was forced by Stalin regime to quit painting and became a graphic artist. Personal exhibition took place at the Central House of the Artist in Moscow in 1962. Died in Moscow in 1966. |
