Nikolay Seleschuk was born in the village Velikorata, Brest region of Belarus in 1947. He studied at the Minsk College of Art and in 1978 graduated from the Belarusian State Theatre and Art Institute. He started exhibiting from 1966. In recognition of his artistic achievements, Seleschuk received State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, diploma of the city Athens (Greece), award “For creative achievements in the 20th century” at Cambridge, Great Britain in 1992, among others. The artist tragically died in Belarus in 1996.
