His first exhibition took place in 1911 with about 50 works on exhibit, featuring portraits and still life with flowers and birds paintings. His works were influenced by Borisov-Musatov and modern French painting. He also exhibited in 1918 with Rostovsko-Nakhichevansk-on-Don artist society and in 1919 in the Salon of Rostov-on-Don. Artemov emigrated to France in 1919. Worked in France and England. Specialized in painting, graphic, woodcarving and theatre design. He died in France in 1965. |
