Vladimir Vasilievich Lebedev was born in St. Petersburg in 1891. Painter and graphic artist. He worked in the studio of F. Rubo and at the same time attended the school of drawing, painting and sculpture of M. Bernshtein and L. Shervuda in 1910-1914. Studied at St. Petersburg Art Academyin 1912-1914. Lived in Leningrad. Worked as an illustrator with a number of magazines. Produced illustrations for children’s books and posters. V. Lebedev was one of the organizers of “Okon ROSTA” in Petrograd. Died in Leningrad in 1967.
