Yuri Leiderman was born in Odessa in 1963. His work has been closely associated with the Moscow Conceptualist movement and he was one of the founding members of the `Inspection Medical Hermeneutics` group which he left in 1990. He is also a writer and was awarded the Andrei Belyi literature prize in 2005.
