Daughter of Isaak Israelevich Brodsky (1883-1939). Studied at choreography college, Leningrad until 1928; at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1935-1939; with N. Krymov, Moscow in 1939. Active in Moscow. Began exhibiting in 1945. Specialized in landscapes. Became a Soviet academician in 1970. Enjoyed considerable official success in 1950s. Died in 1991. |
