Yuriy Ivanovych Khymych was born in Kamianets-Podilskiy in 1928. In 1950 he graduated from the department of architecture of Kyiv Construction Institute. In 1948 he had an opportunity to study original works of great masters at the Hermitage museum, during artist`s internship in Leningrad. Yuriy Khymych was fascinated by the architecture and it became his passion to reproduce its beauty and spiritual continuity. He died in 2003 in Kyiv.
