Nikolai GALAKHOV 1928 — Ніколай ГАЛАХОВ • Николай Николаевич ГАЛАХОВNikolai Galakhov was born in Kazan in 1928. During 1942-1947 he studies at the Kazan Art College and upon graduation entered the Ilya Repin Leningrad Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architechture. Galakhov graduated from the institute in 1953. He did his graduate studies in 1954-1956. The artist started exhibiting in 1954, focusing on landscapes of Volga region. He also traveled to Siberia and Baikal. In the 1960s the artist started painting Karelia region. The artist is the member of St. Petersburg Artists’ Union. |
