Petr Pavlovich Ossovski was born in 1925 in Malaya Viska, near Elizavetgrad, Ukraine. Studied at Moscow Intermediate Art School in 1940-1944; Moscow Art Institute in 1944-1950. Active in Moscow. Began exhibiting in 1954. Painted thematic compositions, portraits, landscapes. Well-known works include On the Edge of Town, 1958 – Ordzhonikidze Art Museum.
