Sofia Levytska (Sofia Levytsky, Sonia Lewitska) was born in Vychylivka village, Khmelnytsk region of Ukraine in 1874. Painter, graphic artist, book illustrator. She was the sister of a poet Modes Levytsky. In 1905 graduated from Paris Art Academy. Participant of Autumn Salon and Salon of Independent since 1909. Her early works were cubistic. Later she painted in a post-impressionistic manner. Levytska died in Paris in 1937.
