Alexandre Petrovich Zinoviev was born in Moscow in 1889. Painter, graphic and stage design artist. Lived in Paris from 1908. From 1909 exhibited at the Autumn Salon, Salon des Independents, and other. In 1912 designed Carmen opera for the theatre in Toulouse. In 1910 participated in the Moscow and St. Petersburg exhibitions; in 1914 – at the International exposition of graphic and print in Leipzig. In 1920s worked for French and American magazines, specializing in cosmetics advertisements. Produced design for cabaret costumes. Worked with the theatre “The Flying Mouse”. Personal exhibitions took place at La Boetie gallery (1925) and Au Portique gallery (1933). After the war worked as a painter and graphic artist. Died in Paris in 1977.
